Payroll Specialist
W.A.G. payment solutions
Education: Secondary degree in Finance/Accounting required; university degree a plus.
Languages: Fluent Czech/Slovak and English; other languages an advantage.
Experience: 5+ years in payroll/financial administration, with knowledge of Czech & Slovak legislation and payroll tax compliance.
Expertise: Strong grasp of statutory deductions, benefits, social security, and payroll best practices (incl. split payroll, multi-country payroll).
Skills: Excellent accuracy with data/numbers, advanced Excel/BI, strong analytical skills.
Confidence: Experienced, resourceful, able to handle complex payroll questions.
Communication: Clear, professional in Czech/Slovak and English; collaborative with all departments.
Teamwork: Service-minded, detail-oriented, patient, adaptable, able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiar with benefit plans (retirement, pensions, life/health insurance).
- Consolidation of the time and attendance data, reporting on it and applying corrections
- Submit and report on allowances & deductions, communicate those with relevant departments (Finance, HR)
- Follow and maintain the standard of a proper approval from upper managements towards relevant payments
- Cooperating with payroll providers for WAG entities in countries in scope
- Support Employees in tax related queries
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports based on the business need
- Closely collaborate with HR Generalist team to ensure quality and timeline for pay inputs
- Closely collaborate with C&B team to ensure quality and timeline for benefit inputs
- Communicate with Employees and stakeholders on payroll related matters
- Participate and suggest process improvements
