The Scrum Master is responsible for being the designated Servant Leader of a development team and is accountable for making and keeping development commitments and removing development impediments. You will work with an agile development team to discover business needs, assist in developing and clarifying product requirements, and ensure a timely and high-quality release of product improvements. We are seeking candidates who have a technical aptitude, are fascinated with the end product, and are truly interested in defining and delivering a better product. This opportunity will help create long-term value by playing a direct role in validating requirements, supporting user testing and troubleshooting, and working with business partners. This role can be performed remotely.
The salary target for this role is $90-100k; this position is eligible for an annual bonus.
We select our initial compensation target using national compensation survey data. When we make an offer, we then factor in things like tenure, performance, and geographic location to come up with the most accurate numbers. Primary Job Functions
Scrum Master- Lead and support proactive adoption of agile process
Lead and schedule agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, scrum, demos, and retrospectives
Support collaboration/coordination between all roles and team members
Will be required to perform basic IT Business Analyst functions when efforts require
Includes: Documentation of IT Business Processes
Organization and Tracking – Utilize skills to manage product status and priorities
Manage Sprints through identified Release Plan
Establish, track and report on sprint productivity metrics (i.e., planned and completed stories)
Track Sprint Burndown, individual capacity, and milestones daily and reacting accordingly
Update and monitor Jira stories and tasks
Monitor and assist with sprint testing efforts (including test script creation and monitoring progress)
Team Support – Provide your team the opportunities and resources needed
Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
Resolve conflicts and issues that the team faces
Escalate impediments that cannot be resolved
Subject Matter Expertise – Build expertise working with one of various product teams
Work with the IT Organization to understand and manage the backlog of user stories
Work with Scrum Team and internal stakeholders to influence and drive decision making and support organization product teams
Education | Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology or related
2+ years in Technology
2+ years BA, Development, or other related technology experience required
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience with Agile development
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Familiarity with Salesforce and Jira
