We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Analyst to join our team and lead the development of impactful data solutions from the ground up. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights, design and maintain dynamic dashboards using tools like Power BI and Salesforce, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You’ll play a key role in visual storytelling, data integration, and reporting support, while contributing to scalable data strategies in partnership with technical teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a data professional who thrives on turning complex data into clear, strategic insights.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. This role is also eligible for our corporate bonus.
Primary Job Functions:
Business Requirements & BI Solution Development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., Sales, Marketing) to gather business needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
Design, build, and maintain impactful dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Salesforce, enabling teams to make data-driven decisions.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business goals and provide visibility into performance trends.
Leverage Salesforce’s data model and objects to support reporting and analytics.
Data Visualization & Storytelling
Develop compelling visualizations that clearly communicate insights and trends to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure clarity, usability, and accessibility of dashboards and reports.
Continuously improve visual reporting assets based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Data Integration & Reporting Support
Partner with data teams to support the development and improvement of data flows and reporting processes.
Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to maintain reliable reporting.
Collaboration & Technical Support
Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for data and reporting teams.
Contribute to the planning and enhancement of scalable data solutions in collaboration with data engineering and architecture teams.
Education/ Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of experience in Power BI or similar data visualization tools, with a portfolio of impactful dashboards or reports.
3+ years of experience in SQL and data analysis.
Familiarity with Salesforce reporting and its data structure.
Experience working with ETL processes and data integration workflows.
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
Knowledge of Python or R is a plus but not required.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified at this level is $79,200.00 to $110.900. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
