We have an exciting opportunity for a Trading Specialist – APM Support! The Trading Specialist – APM Support plays a critical role in supporting advisor teams who manage and trade their own book of business. This role provides expert guidance on trading systems, operational processes, and risk controls to ensure efficient and accurate execution. The Trading Specialist is responsible for defining and managing the account trading process for both new and existing teams, with a strong focus on process optimization. Proficiency in trading platforms—particularly Orion Eclipse—and brokerage systems is essential. Experience with Prime Brokerage/DVP trade execution, settlement and Operations. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and a solid understanding of securities trading are also required.

The Trading Specialist – APM Support is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining trading and operational workflows that enable advisor teams to trade client accounts accurately and efficiently. This includes both the initial set-up and ongoing support for advisor teams managing their own investment strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and optimizing trading processes to support advisor-managed portfolios

  • Utilizing deep expertise in Salesforce, Orion Eclipse, custodian trading platforms, Microsoft Office, and various Order Management Systems

  • Collaborating with Investment Management, Operations, Compliance, and third-party custodians to ensure seamless execution and adherence to regulatory standards

  • Responding to advisor trading requests and providing high-quality service and support for unique or complex situations

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to advisor teams.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions

Coordinate Cross-Functional Trading Processes

  • Manage workflows between advisor teams, Operations, Compliance, and Investment Management to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent investment of client accounts

  • Establish and document trading and operational procedures

  • Oversee risk management practices

  • Perform ongoing account maintenance and servicing tasks

Optimize Trading Software Utilization

  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of Orion Eclipse and other trading platforms

  • Leverage trading and operational systems to enhance efficiency and support investment strategies

Collaborate with External Partners for Process Improvement

  • Serve as a liaison between advisor teams and corporate partners to support and refine trading processes

  • Provide expert-level support on investment products, trading procedures, and complex account issues

  • Assist advisor teams to facilitate Prime Brokerage/DVP and block trading and allocation operations

Support Advisor Teams in Achieving Operational Excellence

  • Partner with advisor teams to establish and train on trading and operational protocols

  • Deliver ongoing support and guidance to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency

Education/Qualifications

  • Requires a 4-years degree in business, finance or economics (or equivalent work experience)

  • Experience with financial products

  • 3+ years trading experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Orion Eclipse or other rebalancing platforms

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize workflow and projects

  • Strong analytical and PC skills with problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate

  • Back office/Middle office settlement experience is a plus

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as the Individual Contributor level is $79,200.00 to $110,900.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
