Our Philadelphia office is looking for a Trading Operations Specialist. The Trading Operations Specialist is expected to define and manage the account trading process, focusing on efficiency and accuracy using Orion Eclipse and knowledge of Trading Operations. The Trading Operations Analyst also provides support to Advisor teams through account maintenance, data analysis, reconciliation, drift analysis and through expert knowledge of managed account offerings. Managing the trading process requires a deep knowledge of the Orion Eclipse trading platform and an understanding of needs from Investment Management, Operations, Compliance, and third-party custodians. The Trading Operations Analyst is responsible for satisfying these needs in the accurate and efficient trading and maintenance of client accounts during the entire account life cycle. This includes significant use of Salesforce and Orion Eclipse to assign and trade new accounts to models, maintain accurate adherence to models, implement model changes, fulfill advisor trading requests, and reconcile trades to ensure accuracy. The Trading Analyst is also expected to provide excellent service to advisor teams in implementing clients’ financial plans and assistance with unique situations and requests.

Primary Job Functions

Manage the process flows between the FA teams, operations, compliance, and investments to ensure consistent, accurate and timely investing of client accounts.
Revising trading procedures
Trade reconciliation
Trade error resolution

Manage trading software for efficient and accurate trade execution.
Attain and maintain expert level knowledge with Orion and other available trading software and its capabilities.
Leverage available technology to maximize our efficiencies and support investment objectives.

Work with external partners to understand current process and work for continued process efficiencies.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.
Actively explore ways to achieve greater efficiency.

Provide support to FA team to aid in client retention and acquisition.
Create reports (such as in Morningstar) of current models.
Assist marketing in the development of literature by providing up-to-date model information.
Fulfill role as product expert in answering FA team questions about available products, the investment process, and more complex account issues.

Assist in delivering the best financial advice through the timely and accurate trading of client accounts.
Lead the bulk trading associated with model changes.
Act as primary trader for the daily trading
Train and assist office staff as needed
Education / Qualifications
Requires a 4-years degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
3 plus years trading operations experience
Series 7 and 63 security licenses or ability to obtain these licenses within the first 3 months of hire date: clean U4.
Advanced knowledge of Orion Eclipse Rebalancing platform preferred.
Ability to identify investment risk in models/portfolios through ongoing manager due diligence preferred
Ability to make thoughtful manager change recommendations to investment committee, where appropriate, providing clear support for rationale preferred.

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state, pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. Thus, the entire salary range for those who are classified as the Trading Operations Specialist level is $57,000.00 to $126,000.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
