Our Pittsford, New York team has an exciting opportunity for a Retirement Plan Relationship Manager role. This position is the primary contact for internal advisors and consulting services and provides oversight to third party services.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $145,000.00, exclusive of bonuses and benefits. Primary Job Functions

Retirement Plan Design and Implementation (Consulting Services)

  • Assists the retirement sales team in the sales process as requested; meets with clients to determine needs and plan design options

  • Assists with new business implementation procedures

  • Organizes and implements annual service plans for clients, introduces improved and new features available, coordinates plan changes and other plan related features

  • Implement support plans with the sales team that achieve the overall goal of attaining more business

  • Achieves growth and retention goals

Coach and Develop the Team (Consulting and TPA Administration)

  • Coaches and develops a technically strong, functional team

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our business, products, and services

  • Coordinates and monitors workflow across departments to facilitate efficient operations and optimal client service

  • Produces, analyzes, and distributes reports on a regular basis to achieve individual and team goals

Client Service – (Consulting Services)

  • Displays good judgment & leadership to ensure suitable administration of all accounts

  • Develop and manage strong business relationships with assigned clients through in-person visits

  • Utilizes Salesforce platform to identify needs for current clients and secure new business

  • Act as primary contact for all day-to-day service issues and other inquiries for assigned clients

  • Liaise between client and vendors to assist in resolving issues and identifying process improvement opportunities

  • Achieve individual and team goals for service levels

Governance / Technical Support

  • Provide guidance on regulatory issues that impact retirement plans

  • Monitors and assess impact of changes in legal, fiduciary, account and investment regulations on assigned accounts

  • Stays abreast of governance trends and communicates new best practices regularly

  • Supports all facets of retirement planning, compliance, administration, plan design, investments, fiduciary support, governance

Financial Wellness Programming

  • Assists with employee education services; conducts education seminars and one-on-one meetings with participant

Education/Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in finance, business, or related

  • 5+ years retirement plan experience

  • Pension or investment designations helpful, but not required

  • Knowledge of retirement regulations (ERISA, DOL, etc.) and operations, excellent financial acuity

  • Detail oriented; ability to prioritize workflow and projects; able to work with deadlines and be flexible; self-managed

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills

  • Consistent high-level customer service

  • Ability to work as a team member; positive solution-focused attitude

  • Experience in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Salesforce or similar CRM systems experience

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified in this level is $75,600.00 to $170,100.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
