Our Corporate Office is seeking a Content Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship provides an exceptional opportunity for students to gain hands‑on experience in content creation, SEO, and competitive research within the wealth management industry. The intern will work closely with the content and integrated marketing teams to rewrite articles, update key information, and support projects that strengthen our visibility across search engines and AI‑driven platforms. Key takeaways from this role include building strong writing and editing skills, learning SEO/AEO best practices, and gaining exposure to real‑world content optimization. This is a fully remote internship opportunity.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the hourly rate for this position is $21 per hour.

Primary Job Functions

Implement SEO and AEO strategies

  • Work with the content team to implement SEO and AEO strategies that make Wealth Enhancement more visible in LLM, AIO, and SERP results

  • Stay up to date on the latest AEO developments and strategies

  • Conduct competitive analysis on comparable RIAs and creation actionable insights for SEO and AEO activities

Review and update blog articles from our website

  • Rewrite articles and service pages according to SEO and AEO best practices

  • Ensure that articles adhere to our brand standards and style guide and use compliance-approved language

  • Perform competitive analysis to see what our competitors are saying and how they’re saying it to fill potential gaps in our own messaging or identify potential new channels

Miscellaneous Projects

  • Support the team with ad hoc projects relating to marketing campaigns, promotional campaigns, and nurture campaigns, YouTube channel updates, etc.

  • Conduct research and analysis

Education/Qualifications

  • Must be actively enrolled in a college or university degree program to be eligible for an internship. Candidates who have already graduated or will graduate before the start of the summer intern program are not eligible.
  • Preferably pursuing bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, journalism, or communications.
  • Preferably students between their junior and senior years.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. To comply with state pay transparency laws, we must disclose the entire salary grade. The entire salary grade for those who are classified as the Intern level is $38,700.00 to$ 54,200.00. However, the base salary range bolded above is what we expect to pay as a starting range for this position.
