Working to enable R&D digital transformation, you will be responsible for ideating, architecting, and developing our Integrations and Automation for Labs in our BioPharma Customers. You will own and lead Technical Integration projects for your customers and ensure all solution deployments are robust and scalable. You will design solutions, implement systems, and establish best practices globally.

Our customers are modernizing their scientific informatics landscape to accelerate the discovery and manufacture of new therapeutics, drugs and vaccines to save lives faster!   Consequently, we are rapidly growing and looking to expand our technical team in North America. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Team and help leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies deploy and support cutting edge scientific R&D technology globally.  

Curious about your responsibilities?

• As part of this cross-functional, customer facing role, you will be interacting with Customers to help them architect and create Integrated Digital and Data solutions in their Labs to automate manual processes.
• Interact with Customer’s Business owners and Customer’s IT, Digital and Data Organizations (at a Technology and Infrastructure level)
• Analyze Business needs, Data, Technology and Infrastructure requirements to Integrate Laboratory Instruments with Informatics solutions
• Develop Data Engineering, Workflow Orchestration Solutions to automate Data pipelines.
• Hands-on technical and Data model knowledge to interact with Customer Technology and Data teams
• Create a strategy for Global Delivery model for Lab Data Automation projects
• Collaborate with and mentor Developers and Data Modelers from Zifo Global team
• Lead effective customer Demonstrations and presentations working with developers from Zifo’s Global team.
• Deliver guidance and oversight for project teams, team management for a growing team

• Familiarity with Lab instruments, Lab workflows and scientific informatics solutions such as LIMS, ELN, Chromatography instruments, Bioreactors, commonly used Analytical Lab devices.
• Familiarity with Scientific processes such as High Throughput Screening, Bioprocessing, QC, Analytical testing.
• Nice-to-have - Familiarity with FAIR Data principles, Ontology, Semantics, Master Data Management.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Chemistry, or Biology
• Problem solving, analytical thinking and decision-making skills
• Proven experience working with customers to architect technical solutions
• Proven experience with designing and deploying enterprise solutions on Prem or on the Cloud
• Experience in developing Agents, Parsers and Connectors.
• Experience in APIs, Web Services and Monitoring tools.
• Experience with Cloud-based data storage, analytics & data science platforms
• Strong Technical Development skills in one or more the following: Python, Java, SQL, Spark
• Familiarity with one or more commercial Lab Data Automation products such as Tetrascience, Scitara, HighRes Bio, Synthace, GreenButton Go, Zontal, KNIME, Biobright etc.
• Knowledge of emerging commercial and open-source technologies & solutions
• Strong understanding of established and evolving industry standards and best practices driving digital transformation
