Description
Zifo is growing! We are looking to hire an Associate Analyst to join our Scientific Informatics team in San Francisco. This person will work as part of a cross functional global team to design, develop, implement and support customization / configurations of informatics platforms / products for various pharmaceutical and biotech clients The informatics platform / products include but are not limited to Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Chromatography Data System (CDS), Scientific Data Management System (SDMS) used within research, clinical and manufacturing domain. The Associate will collaborate with the customer IT stakeholders, business SMEs (scientists & lab analysts), and software vendors to discuss / document business requirements and implementation approach. The Associate will partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute the implementation plan while ensuring proper documentation for GxP compliance is developed and delivered at the appropriate time.
Requirements
Draft / review technical documents for implementation of the identified solution / customization.
Perform / review configuration / technical activities for solution implementation.
Evaluate technical caveats / dependencies for implementation of solutions / customization.
Act as the liaison between customer and vendor organization to facilitate proof of concept, gap analysis and risk mitigation.
Manage, motivate and mentor cross-functional and enterprise project teams across the globe
Evaluate Industry trends to identify areas for optimization
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either any core Science related fields
Strong written and oral communication skills
Technical Skills
0-1 year’s experience in configuring / customizing informatics products / platforms.
Possess basic understanding of the leading technology solutions in the R&D Informatics space such as LIMS, ELN
Understanding of SDLC (Agile is preferred), ITIL concepts, Database Design and Data Modeling concepts
Experience with one of the following is a plus: Structural Chemistry, Ontology and Semantic Web, Machine Learning.

Possess the willingness & ability to acquire new technical skills & business principles
Able to think critically and demonstrate logical reasoning.

- SQL basics on relational database concepts and schema design principles
- Integrate laboratory instruments with scientific software packages.

- Troubleshoot technical issues and work with cross functional teams.
- Requirements Life Cycle Management
- Experience in as-is system assessment, gap analysis, business process mapping.
- Passionate about Life Science Research and Development industry
- Deep interest Drug Discovery & Development processes
