Description
This individual will be responsible for designing and developing java plugins to support business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents and performs program coding and testing. Resolves technical issues through debugging, research and investigation. Familiar with data structures and other standard concepts, practices and procedures required for the application development. Requires a degree of creativity and latitude. The individual will also work with Business Users, Managers or Developers of our customers. The individual will provide the consulting skills required to analyze customer needs and gaps and propose solutions to achieve the desired state. The individual will also manage a remote team and delegate design, documentation, development and testing activities.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain java applications
- Take part in software and architectural development activities
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging
- Identifying production and non-production application issues
- Transforming requirements into stipulations
- Develop, test, implement and maintain application software
- Recommend changes to improve established java application processes
- Develop technical designs for application development
- Develop application code for java programs
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Manage remote team and delegate Tasks, documentation, development and testing activities.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Java & Java EE, with a good understanding of its ecosystem.
- Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programing (OOP) patterns and concepts
- Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
- Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
- Familiar with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of MYSQL / Oracle database is required
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Webservice API integration required
- Understanding of MVC design patterns
- SDLC process and documentation is a plus
- Experience in working in an Agile / Sprint based development project is a plus
- Great communication and problem-solving skills.
- Curious about new technologies and you're excited to find ways to implement them in your work.
- having experience with coaching and mentoring other developers is a plus.
- Should be able to oversee and drive projects forward.

- Experience with Customer/Client focused delivery model
- Previous experience with Productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project
- Strong Understanding of SDLC, Database Design and Data Modeling concepts
- Previous experience with working in large scale implementation projects
- Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent degree.
- Experience in designing, developing and maintaining Java applications
- Experience in applying Data Structure concepts
- Experience in R&D Informatics systems such as LIMS, ELN, SDMS would be preferred but not required.
