- Lead and assist revenue and commission accounting close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and post-close reporting and analysis.
- Act as a point of contact to the Sales Compensation Team and provide accounting treatment on commission related items.
- Act as a point of contact to sales reps as it relates to revenue contracts.
- Prepare ad hoc revenue analytics and reporting.
- Assist management with maintaining and implementing accounting policies and procedures, especially as they relate to revenue and commission transactions.
- Work closely with the customer success and sales teams on contract questions and modifications.
- Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.
- Help answer and prepare support related to audit requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or CA certified.
- 8+ years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting skills
- Must be a problem-solver with strong critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be independent
- Strong project management skills and a self-starter
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Organized
- Ability to multitask between multiple projects
- Attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Accounting Principles and GAAP specifically ASC 606 and ASC 340
- Experience with NetSuite and SalesForce is a plus
- Must be a team player who can work well with short deadlines in a fast-paced environment
