The Vice President, Sales Product will manage the Sales product engineering team, driving the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions to support and optimize the sales organization. As the flagship product of Zoominfo, the Sales product leader is a critical role for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's sales product engineering strategy, aligned with overall business goals and sales objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing and geographically distributed team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the CTO, sales / revenue leadership, and other technology leaders to identify and prioritize sales platform initiatives that drive business value.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Sales product features and platform components.
- Establish and maintain best practices for Sales product engineering, including agile development methodologies, DevOps principles, and data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable technology solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership and sales teams.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in product and platform engineering, and drive the adoption of innovative approaches within the organization.
- Manage the Sales product engineering team's budget, resources, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure Customer Trust SLOs such as security, stability, quality, and scalability of all Sales product solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 10 years in a leadership role in a SaaS company, preferably in a sales-driven organization.
- Strong expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, and experience with enterprise software and platforms.
- Proven track record of leading successful engineering projects from ideation to deployment, driving measurable impact on sales performance.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, mentor, and inspire high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align sales platform initiatives with strategic sales objectives.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences, including sales teams.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly sales leadership and operations.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance best practices.
The Vice President, Sales Product will play a crucial role in driving the company's Sales technology transformation, working closely with the CTO and sales leadership to harness the power of technology to create competitive advantage and drive sales growth.
