The purpose of the role is to work with the Head of Compliance for Chile to assist with reporting and oversight of the Chile business. The position will be based in Chile.

Job specification

  • Liaising with the Head of Compliance – Chile to implement, maintain and monitor adherence with the Compliance framework for Apex operations currently covered at the local level by the Head of Compliance – Chile
  • Ensuring regulatory updates monthly and where required based on changes in regulations affecting the services provided
  • Proactively identify situations that may pose significant compliance risk and work with Head of Compliance - Chile in the review of applicable policies, procedures, and business practices in coordination with Group policies and procedures
  • Periodic AML/CFT review and assessment client and Investor
  • Working actively with the Head of Compliance - Chile to ensure delivery and completion of the annual Compliance plan and supporting key areas of compliance risk are executed on a timely basis
  • Preparing monthly reports for the local office and Group reporting as well as all regulatory reports applicable to the local companies on a regular basis
  • Coordinating reporting around training for staff in coordination with the Head of Compliance – Chile

Skills Required:

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience in the compliance area of a financial institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards.
  • Experience with anti-money laundering/counter terrorist financing review and oversight.
  • The candidate should be skilled in Microsoft Office, prepared to learn other software and systems used in the fund accounting business to conduct AML/CFT reviews of clients and investors.
