Ready to be a part of the company transforming FinTech and how the world accesses banking services?

When was the last time you were excited about interacting with your bank or credit union? If the answer is “a while” then you’re in good company. Despite the fact that access to better financial choices is at the heart of empowering communities, businesses, and people, financial institutions (FIs) are struggling to keep up with modern expectations.

And that’s where Kinective comes in. We’re here to change the way the world accesses and thinks about banking through software that connects a historically “boring” industry to the latest and greatest fintechs shaping the industry.

Ok... but what does all of that actually mean? Banks and credit unions are using some pretty old-school systems, which makes adopting new and innovative technology difficult (if not impossible). If you think it’s easy for your local branch to send you a receipt via text… think again.

Want proof? As the largest provider of software connectivity to 1 in 3 U.S. financial institutions, we are the leading company transforming the way banking is done for credit unions and banks. (In fact, Forbes recently released their Best Banks in the World report, and Kinective works with over 60% of their named banks!).

Kinective is the connector (get it?) that bridges that technology gap and helps modernize the way banking works. Our 575+ team of mega-talented and passionate folks are brought together with the unifying desire to make life easier (and better) for our clients and ultimately paving the way for banks and credit unions to modernize banking for everyone.

The Cliffs Notes
The Director, Project Management Office (PMO) leads Kinective’s client-facing implementation Project Management organization, a multinational team responsible for driving client projects from contract to go-live. This leader will own the operational backbone of how Kinective delivers for our clients: building scalable frameworks, standardizing processes, and driving consistent execution across every implementation.

The right person will bring deep experience leading PMO teams in FinTech or SaaS companies that serve financial institutions, with an understanding of how banks and credit unions operate without being constrained by traditional processes. They’ll know how to balance structure with agility and be energized about building the next generation of delivery excellence in a fast-moving, acquisitive business.

This role reports to the SVP, Client Experience Operations and partners closely with leaders across Professional Services, Product, Support, and other key teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.

What you’ll own:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, multinational PMO team responsible for delivering client implementation projects on time, on budget, and with exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Design and implement scalable, standardized project management processes and frameworks to support Kinective’s growth and acquisition strategy.
  • Partner with Service Operations to mature PMO tooling and reporting (PSA, dashboards, forecasting, capacity management).
  • Define and maintain governance standards that ensure visibility, accountability, and quality across all active projects.
  • Build alignment with Sales, Product, and Support teams to ensure a seamless client journey from contract to go-live.
  • Develop career paths, training programs, and operational best practices that strengthen project management maturity across the team.
  • Serve as the voice of delivery excellence, continuously driving improvements in client experience, project timelines, and efficiency.

What you’re great at:

  • Leading large, distributed teams with empathy and accountability.
  • Balancing structure and speed; knowing when to enforce process and when to flex.
  • Translating complex delivery challenges into simple, repeatable solutions.
  • Building trust across departments and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Leveraging data and systems to manage workload, performance, and quality.
  • Bringing a continuous improvement mindset to every aspect of delivery.
Requirements

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field
  • 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years leading PMO or large project delivery teams in SaaS or FinTech environments
  • Experience working with or delivering solutions to banks, credit unions, or financial institutions strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of client-facing implementation delivery models
  • Strong process design, change management, and leadership skills
  • Experience with PSA or project delivery platforms (Certinia, Kantata, Rocketlane, etc.)
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience in a Private Equity–backed or acquisitive organization a plus
